Overview
Course Currency Status: (Release 1) Current
Course Overview: This nationally recognised course is designed to equip workers with the skills and knowledge to perform testing of connections to low voltage (LV) electricity networks according to AS 4741-2010 Testing of connections to electricity networks.
It specifies the mandatory requirements for testing when connecting and/or reconnecting a customer’s installation to an electricity supply network and encompasses the minimum principles and tests required to confirm that the LV supply connections are correct.
Target Audience: Electrical Contractors, Metering contractors and Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) workers who are required to make, break and test new and existing connections on low voltage (LV) electricity networks.
Upcoming Workshops
There are currently no openings available for this course.
Entry Requirements/What to Bring:
Physical Fitness: Participants will be required to complete involved in physical activities to test connections to a low voltage (LV) network
Participants must have adequate physical fitness to:
- Climb a ladder to access the LV network (if required).
- Access a switchboard or test board mounted at or above 1600mm from ground level.
